The Timber Creek Orchestra Program is welcoming in the month of December and we are very excited for what is to come in the next couple of weeks. This Tuesday night, our feeder school, Avalon Middle School, is having their winter concert at seven o’clock. Full Symphony will meet for rehearsal on Wednesday from 1:30 to 4:30 and on Friday from 2:30 to 4:30. There will also be a dress rehearsal for Full Symphony on Wednesday, December 11th. This is all in preparation for our Winter Concert on Thursday, December 12th. We will also be participating in a joint concert with Choir on Friday, December 13th, at 7 pm with a dress rehearsal beforehand from 3pm to 5 pm.
Greetings TCO Students and Parents,
I wanted to take a moment to welcome you back for the 2013-2014 school year. I hope that you have enjoyed a fabulous summer! I know that I enjoyed mine and could use more time, but I am certainly excited about this upcoming year.
Students will be receiving a copy of the orchestra handbook, forms and information about our new database program. If you are able I encourage you to go ahead and take a look at the program online. You can reach it at www.charmsoffice.com. You must enter the school code: TCreekHSO. Your ID number is your student’s OCPS school ID number. Students will be given instructions at school and have time to work on this in class, but I wanted to make sure that parents are also aware of this new process. I have also attached the instructions.
ALL STATE IMPORTANT – if you are planning on auditioning for All State this year. The deadlines are extremely early for submitting paperwork. All students must submit the $30 audition fee payment (checks made payable to TCHS) as well as the two all state forms. Students must have the signed and completed FOA Parent Agreement and Participant Contract forms. These materials are DUE WEDNESDAY AUGUST 21 (the third day of school). The forms will be available to students in class on Monday. They can also be accessed here: http://myfoa.org/allstateapps Please fill the forms out in BLUE INK. Please work on this as we have very limited time to get everything turned in.
I know that there may be some scheduling issues. I have tried to work with guidance all summer and make any and all corrections that we can. But please be patient. There are over 3000 students needing schedules and it is a lot of work for only 7 people to do. Those are the best odds. Please be flexible and know that we will do what we can to get everything sorted out.
I look forward to seeing the students on Monday and I can’t wait for this next school year. Enjoy your last few days of summer freedom! Take care.
